Terms of Use

Last updated March 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the iglu platform, website, and related services. By using iglu, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use the Service.

1. About iglu

iglu is a digital platform designed to help schools manage communication, student activities, and child safety processes. The platform connects schools and educational institutions, teachers and authorized school staff, parents and guardians of enrolled students, transport staff, and authorized guardians.

  • School management tools
  • Parent communication
  • Student activity updates
  • Custody tracking for pickup and drop
  • Weekly learning planners
  • Announcements and alerts
  • Intel-IQ insights based on daily activity logs

2. The free pilot

Founding schools are onboarded on a free pilot with no credit card required and a 48-hour setup. Either party can exit the pilot cleanly, and your data stays yours.

3. Eligibility

iglu is intended for use by schools and educational institutions, teachers and authorized school staff, and parents and guardians of enrolled students.

Children do not create accounts directly. Student information is managed by authorized school administrators and teachers.

4. School responsibility

Schools using iglu are responsible for managing student records accurately, adding authorized parents and guardians, maintaining proper custody and pickup procedures, and ensuring that information shared through the platform is appropriate.

iglu acts as a technology platform and does not replace the school's internal policies or supervision responsibilities.

5. User accounts

Accounts on iglu may be created by the school administration. Users must provide accurate information, keep login credentials secure, and use the platform only for legitimate school-related purposes. Users are responsible for all activity performed under their account.

6. Custody and pickup system

iglu includes a custody tracking feature that helps schools manage student pickup and drop processes. This system may track statuses such as At Home, Boarded Bus, At School and Handed Over. Schools may also generate secure pickup authorization codes or approvals.

While iglu provides tools to support custody management, schools remain responsible for verifying guardians and supervising physical pickup processes.

7. Intel-IQ insights

iglu may provide automated insights through a feature called Intel-IQ, which analyzes patterns from activity logs such as mood, meals, sleep, and daily activities. These insights are informational and designed to help parents and teachers understand trends.

Intel-IQ insights are not medical advice and should not be used as a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.

8. Acceptable use

Users agree not to use the platform for unlawful activities, share false or misleading information, attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or data, disrupt or interfere with platform operation, or misuse communication features.

iglu reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

9. Data and privacy

User data is handled according to our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described there. iglu is committed to protecting children's data and uses secure systems to safeguard information.

10. Service availability

We strive to keep the Service available and reliable. However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or external infrastructure dependencies.

11. Limitation of liability

iglu provides a technology platform to support school operations. To the maximum extent permitted by law, iglu is not liable for school operational decisions, guardian verification failures, physical custody errors, or misuse of the platform by users.

Schools and guardians remain responsible for supervising children and ensuring safe pickup procedures.

12. Intellectual property

All content, branding, software, and technology used in the Service, including the iglu name and brand, application software, design elements and system architecture, are owned by or licensed to iglu. Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute platform components without permission.

13. Changes to the Service

We may update, improve, or modify features of the platform over time. We may also update these Terms when necessary. Updated Terms will be published on this page. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
